Meet the Abu Bloom dolls.

At the heart of every Abu Bloom piece is a character — but there isn’t just one kind of character.

Our dolls celebrate different bodies, abilities and appearances. Children can choose from characters with different body shapes and skin tones, characters who use wheelchairs, wear glasses, have limb differences and more.

Because the real world isn’t made up of one type of person — and children’s clothing shouldn’t be either.

Abu Bloom garments are designed with sensory comfort in mind, including external labelling rather than a traditional label sitting against the skin.

Small decisions, big difference

For children who experience sensitivity to touch, seams, fabrics or tags, small design decisions can make a very big difference.

We want children to spend their time thinking about which hairstyle their character should wear — not about an irritating tag.

05 / Our position

Beyond the “standard”.

Children are surrounded by messages about what bodies are “supposed” to look like, how people are “supposed” to dress and what is considered typical. Abu Bloom was created to offer something different.

A wheelchair doesn’t decide someone’s style.

A limb difference doesn’t define someone’s personality.

Body shape doesn’t determine who deserves to be represented.

And there certainly isn’t a rule about what colour your hair should be.

There is no standard Abu Bloom child — because there is no standard child.

And then there’s the box…

We wanted opening Abu Bloom to feel special too. Each garment arrives in its own beautifully presented Abu Bloom box, carefully wrapped in tissue paper.

Inclusion from the very beginning.

Abu Bloom started with a simple idea: there is no single way to be a child. Children come in different bodies, with different abilities, different ways of communicating, moving, learning and experiencing the world. We wanted to create something that reflects that reality — something playful, beautiful and proudly diverse.

But we quickly realised that representation in the final product wasn’t enough. If we were going to talk about inclusion, we wanted inclusion to be part of the journey too.
